Register your kids now for the Paris-Bourbon County YMCA’s Summer Day Camp! Ages 5 to 12 are welcome (children must have completed kindergarten to participate). YMCA Summer Camp runs from May 22-Aug. 4 full weeks/Last week Aug. 7-11 will be full or half days and operates from 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Register in person at the Paris-Bourbon County YMCA, 917 Main Street. The weekly camp rate is $100 for YMCA members and $110 for non-members. There is also a $25 registration fee, which includes a t-shirt, bag and water bottle. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Registration period is April 3- May 5.
A non-competitive introduction to soccer for children 2 & 3 years old. This program is designed to teach basic soccer skills. Teamwork and sportsmanship are also taught. There will be six instructional classes in the gymnasium. No games will be played. A t-shirt is given to each participant. Time/Dates: 5:30-6:15 p.m., Mondays, April 10-May 15. The YMCA offers youth and adult swim lessons year round. The classes range in levels and varieties to include parent-child as well as youth and adult swim lessons. British Soccer Camp Registration: YMCA Youth Soccer is pleased to announce another year of partnership with Challenger Sports, providers of the USA’s most popular soccer camp, to host the weeklong British Soccer Camp during the week of June 12-16 at the YMCA Soccer Field. The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff. A special Saturday goal keeper/goal scorer workshop also will be offered. Women’s Self Defense Classes: This 6 week class is designed for any female to escape any attack that may happen. It includes getting out of chokes, grabs and attacks from behind. It will teach awareness of surroundings, using small objects to help protect oneself during an emergency. This class is encouraged for high school students and adults.
