Friday Family Flick @ Paris - Bourbon County YMCA Tickets
Aug 26 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Join the YMCA for an evening of Friday Family Flicks. A free, family-friendly movie will be shown on the big projector in the gym. Popcorn will be provided, and all are welcome to bring a picnic, snacks and cap-sealed drinks. There will be floor seating so bring a blanket or pillow to relax on. Children may come in their pajamas if they wish. An adult must remain with children during the movie.

 

This event is free and open to the public!

Bourbon County High School Band’s Golf Scramble @ Shady Brook Golf Course Tickets

Shotgun start is at 8AM and cost per player is $45. Proceeds go to the Bourbon County High School Band. Costs include lunch and prizes will be given for the longest drive and the closest to the pin competition.

First Responder Appreciation Barbecue and Kids Day @ The Farm @ Landworks Tickets

The entire community is invited to join members of the Paris Police Department, Bourbon County Sheriff’s Department, Bourbon County and Paris Fire Departments, First Responders and EMTs, as well as members of the local Citizens Police Academy and their families for a fun-filled afternoon! This Kiwanis sponsored event is designed to show community appreciation to families of those whose mission is to ‘serve and protect.’ There will be barbecue, games, bouncy houses, music, and cake! Fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars will also be available for touring.

 

This is a free even and all are welcome to attend!

Fall Festival and Homecoming @ Duncan Tavern Tickets
Sep 10 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

This event will begin at 10Am with coffee and doughnuts. Shopping opportunities abound with craft and jewelry vendors, as well as items from Duncan Tavern’s Gift Shop. Rescued and repaired quilts, fall mums, baked goods, and many more unique items will be available to purchase. Jerry Sampson of KET’s “Kentucky Collectibles” and Mason and Jeff of “Mason’s Antiques” will evaluate your antiques and collectibles for $10 per item (up to 2 items). Advance registration is imperative to reserve a spot for these informative assessment of your treasures. Lunch will be served in the Banquet Hall and (weather permitting) in the garden. Roger Stapleton, Director of the Kentucky Heritage Council’s Military Heritage Sites Program, will highlight the 50th Anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act and the progress preservation has made in America. An additional workshop will show individuals how to make a Moravian Star ornament. A dulcimer artist will play throughout the day. The festivities will end with a complimentary iced tea in the garden while listening to a talented string trio.
